Predominantly self taught, I have painted most of my life. My painting practice has been a crucial element in maintaining my wellbeing. My work explores themes of mental illness and addiction using motifs and abstractions of nature. I am interested in the relationship between human and environment as a requirement for security. I work in layers and contrasts, play with textures and movement.
Makeup Artistry
I am a Makeup Artist working predominantly in the TV and Film Industry in Auckland, New Zealand. I have a background working for MAC makeup 21 years ago, first in NZ and then in the UK.
My credits include Spartacus, Ash vs Evil Dead, Power Rangers, Mulan, The Lord of the Rings television series and countless others.
I have been spending more time in TV Commercial sector recently, heading up the AIR NZ 'What’s the Point?' campaign.
